Ready to Soak Up the Connecticut Shoreline? 🕶️
Living in CT means we’ve got some of the best beach spots right in our backyard—and it’s almost time to take full advantage! Whether you're looking to lounge on soft sand, stroll a scenic boardwalk, or just grab a killer lobster roll and eat alfresco with an ocean view, the Connecticut shoreline’s got something for everyone. These local gems are perfect for a quick beach day escape or a spontaneous after-work sunset. Just remember, many beaches charge for parking or entry between Memorial Day and Labor Day, so keep that beach pass handy! Here’s my top 3 favorite spots. Let me know, what’s your go-to shoreline hangout? 🌊☀️
1.🌅 Waterford Beach Park - Waterford
This beach has it all, gorgeous sand, plenty of room to stretch out and bring the family or friends, calm waves for kids to play in. This beach does require a beach pass, but you can come off-season or off-hours for a free and quiet place to relax and enjoy. Great sunset spot!
For beach passes contact the Town of Waterford Recreation and Parks https://www.waterfordct.org/267/Recreation-Parks
2. 🏖️ Esker Point Beach – Groton
A hidden gem with a 600-foot man-made beach, ideal for swimming, picnicking, and relaxing. Plus, there's free parking! No lifeguards here, but it’s close to downtown Mystic if you’re looking for a great place for nightlife or lunch to make a day of it.

3. 🐚 DuBois Beach – Stonington
A small, serene beach located at the tip of Stonington Borough. It's perfect for families and those seeking a quiet coastal experience. Enjoy views of Stonington Harbor, Fisher's Island Sound and Little Narragansett Bay. Parking lot fills up fast, if you are grabbing dinner in the Borough, leave your car and take the walk down Water Street to enjoy the historic homes and bountiful hydrangeas. Beach passes needed for summer, but are free for kids and discounts for Stonington Community Center (COMO) members.
